AHLI FINTECH, the financial technology and innovation accelerator, venture-studio arm, and fully owned subsidiary of Jordan Ahli Bank, announced the renewal of its partnership agreement with the Crown Prince Foundation. The agreement was signed by Mr. Ghassan Muasher, CEO/General Manager of AHLI FINTECH, and Mrs. Mais Daoud, Deputy Executive Director and Head of Strategic Development and Partnerships at the Crown Prince Foundation.
This collaboration aims to promote youth-driven innovation, specifically in the field of financial technology. It also involves organizing a range of tech-focused initiatives, including the launch of fintech hackathon competitions (such as the Digital Solutions Rally for the Financial and Banking Sector and Fintech), as well as hosting workshops, forums, and events dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship.
The agreement renewal was announced during the launch event of the AHLI FINTECH Incubator Program, which included 35 students from Jordanian universities. These students had previously been selected as winners of the AHLI FINTECH Hackathon that was held earlier in the year in partnership with the Crown Prince Foundation. The competition saw the participation of 130 students across 39 teams, reflecting the success of the partnership in promoting a fintech innovation ecosystem.
The incubator program provides students with access to workshops, mentorship from fintech and entrepreneurship experts, and a dedicated workspace to help them develop their startup projects. A fireside chat was also held bringing together a group of prominent entrepreneurs who shared their experiences and insights in a panel discussion on entrepreneurship. This contributed to inspiring the participants, raising their awareness of best practices, and preparing them to embark on their first entrepreneurial journey.
Dr. Ahmad Al-Hussein, Chairman of AHLI FINTECH and CEO/General Manager of Jordan Ahli Bank, expressed pride in the ongoing partnership with the Crown Prince Foundation. He highlighted that Jordan Ahli Bank was among the first to adopt and implement fintech solutions developed through AHLI FINTECH’s programs, in line with the bank’s strategy to stay at the forefront of financial innovation and actively support the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Mais Daoud, Deputy Executive Director of the Crown Prince Foundation, emphasized the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to expand its network of partners. She noted that Jordan Ahli Bank has long been a supporter of various programs led by the Crown Prince Foundation. The partnership with AHLI FINTECH, in particular, stems from a shared belief in the private sector’s crucial role in empowering youth and expanding their career and economic opportunities. She stressed the importance of exposing young people to global developments in entrepreneurship, especially in financial technology, and highlighted the Foundation’s role in building networks and creating supportive environments for youth to innovate and contribute to future solutions across sectors.
The Crown Prince Foundation focuses on enhancing youth participation and boosting their competitiveness by encouraging leadership, creating strategic partnerships that meet their needs, and developing a robust national youth framework. Meanwhile, AHLI FINTECH, a fully owned subsidiary of Jordan Ahli Bank, serves as a startup incubator/accelerator that accelerates the growth of innovative entrepreneurial ventures through its specialized support programs for young entrepreneurs across the Kingdom.
